The Griffith Insurance Education Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of the Grand Lake CPCU Society Chapter Scholarship.
The CPCU Society, an affiliate of The Institutes, is a community of credentialed property-casualty insurance professionals who promote excellence through ethical behavior and continuing education. The Grand Lake CPCU Society Chapter was founded in 1982 and currently has 99 members from Van Wert, Celina, Lima, and the surrounding areas. Once a year, the chapter offers a scholarship to assist college students actively seeking careers in risk management, insurance, and other insurance-related fields.
AWARD CRITERIA
One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded in November. To qualify, the recipient must:
- Be a United States citizen and a full-time undergraduate resident student attending a college or university anywhere in the country
- Be enrolled in an insurance program or insurance-related field of study, including but not limited to actuarial, business, information technology, and legal
- The recipient or the recipient’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must be a resident of one of the following Ohio counties: Allen, Auglaize, Mercer, Paulding, Putnam, or Van Wert
The recipient’s grade-point average will be an important factor.
