Past Meeting Update
For those of you who have not been able to attend our last few meetings, I wanted to provide an update including our wine tasting event, and Good Works Project.
04/09/2015 – Claire May, Marketing Manager, Central Insurance Companies Southwest Region presented "Impact of Drones on Insurance."
05/14/2015 – Rich Nouza, Claims Manager, Central Insurance Companies presented "Legal Issues: Insurance implications of Ride Sharing & Social Media."
06/18/2015 – 14 members signed up to enjoy a tour of the Sycamore Lake Wine Company. Unfortunately, due to the heavy rain that week, not all members were able to attend. The owners, Jeff and Janice Hanneman, explained how they got started and gave us a tour of their facility. After, we listened to Pam Kabanuk, Commercial Staff Underwriter, Central Insurance Companies, present an underwriting perspective on wineries. We also enjoyed appetizers and wine tasting.
07/25/2015 – 6 members & one guest volunteered to Help End Hunger at the West Ohio Food Bank’s Summer Claim Raffle. The volunteers were asked to do different tasks that included checking ID’s, selling raffle tickets, and helping with parking, to name a few. Pictured above with security from the Lima Police Department for the event are Callie Byrne, Diane Steele, and Beverly Smith. Jason Brown, Lorali Todd, Laura Ditto, and her husband Ron also worked at this event.
